Naada Brahmam ~ Mahashishta Raaga Pravaaham

I dedicate this section to My music Guru-s Shri Lakshmi Narasimha Iyengar and Shri Thrissur P. Radhakrishnan. I also thankfully remember various great musicians from whom i have assimilated various things: Semmangudi, Alathur, Pudukode Krishna Moorthy, Madurai Mani Iyer, GNB, MDRamanthan, Dr. S Ramanathan, MS Subbulakshmi, DK Pattamal, MLV, Rajarathinam Pillai, Karaikurichi Arunachalam, TR Mahalingam, S. Balachander, the Daagar-s, DVPaluskar, Amir Khan, Kumar Gandharva, Mallikarjun Mansur, Siyaram Tiwari, Ram Chatur Mallick, Gangubhai Hangal, Pandit CR Vyas, Pannalal Ghosh, Bismillaha Khan, Pandit Ravi Shankar etc etc.

Here Individual rAga-s are dealt with elaborately by me ~ For Eg. if you want to hear a unique Reethi-gowla AlApanA for half an hour say you can check the archives here.

It is my hope that within four years all the seventy two melakarta rAga-s will be elaborately elucidated in KarnAtik and Dhrupad Style. It may be noted that most of these KarnAtik rAgA-s don't have HindusthAni equivalents.

These recordings were done on a minicorder in unfavourable conditions ~ But I think new elucidations of the rAga-s can be perceived and cognized ~

Please keep the bass of your sound system at lowest to cut off unwanted echoes and disturbances.
